Learning about the history of Christianity and particular Episcopal beliefs, and about Scripture is a way to come closer to God and learn what is His purpose for you and for our Church. St. Andrew’s has an active education program for children and adults!
Ordinarily Adult Sunday School begins at 9:00 a.m. in Byrne Hall with a video, lecture and discussion. However, during the summer we have Breakfast together at 8:15 a.m. in Byrne Hall. You know how much Episcopalians like to eat! So Sunday School takes a break. Various ministry teams and family groups volunteer to cook. Breakfast is $3.00 per person or $5.00 for your immediate family. It is served until 9:30 so you’ll have time to go to Worship at 10:00.
Children’s Church is held during the Holy Eucharist service all year; children and teachers go out to Byrne Hall for lessons and fun activities when the Readings begin, and return to the Nave after the Prayers of the People.
Our Sunday School teachers are dedicated and enjoy working with you and your children. They meet once a month to pray, plan, study, and share ideas. They attend Christian Education workshops offered by the Diocese. Volunteers are always welcome! We have some really good materials that can help you teach if you feel called to do so.
